The youth group at First Baptist Church really is a family all its own. Involving those kids from grades 6 – 12, the group is active in areas of discipleship, outreach, missions, and fellowship. We have 35-40 Youth who are actively involved in our programs.
This past summer, the youth group took the command of Christ to “go” very literally. With mission trips to both Africa and West Virginia, a youth camp at Caswell, several local missions projects, and some wonderful regular activities, we stayed busy all summer.
Now we turn our attention to fall, winter, and the "regular" programming we do; We mix in a variety of activities and fun things like trips and fellowship opportunities.
Wednesday Night Youth is back in session. We meet each Wednesday in the third floor youth room from 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm. Our pastor, Shane Nixon is leading these Wednesday night sessions. We meet every Wednesday at that time unless otherwise noted.
Sunday Night Youth Bible Study starts back up on Sundays, from 5:00 - 6:00 pm, after the first of the year. It will be led by Julie and Will Marklin. Meeting is again in the youth room and is regularly scheduled as indicated unless noted.
